My name is Ria, and I was born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario. I attended Kenner Collegiate where I was enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program for three years and completed my final year at PCVS. Upon graduation, I studied psychology and biology at the University of Ottawa.
When I was a child, I had the fortunate experience of spending a lot of time at my grandparent’s 56-acre parcel of land nestled on the edge of the Ganaraska forest. It is here that I spent many hours exploring the surrounding gardens, fields and forests, and where I developed my fondness for and connection with nature.
While growing up, my curiosity and love of animals became a focal point in my life. I spent many hours outside in streams, along the canal, and in wooded areas within East City. Often, our home was like a mini animal sanctuary as I found numerous creatures in need of care. My mother, who is also an animal lover, was always encouraging and supportive when it came to caring for the animals I brought home.
I currently reside in Peterborough where I provide pet sitting services and care to animals.
